The neld includes Blague, Anna Cjirlovna, Badnor, Wolawa, and Andelosia. Glenfinnan will race in the big handicap, Fireworks in the Steeplechase, and Paoli in the Corinthian. Glen Nevis'and Lady Louisa, winners at Marten, are engaged at Dannevirke nest week where they will have to carry penalties. At a meeting of the Horowhenua Trotting Club last week, it was decided to entertain visiting owners and trainers on the night of the races on ■Wednesday next. ,W. Lillyman, well known at country meetings in Sydnoy, has been secured to do the riding of Mr. F. Morton's horsea in Sydney and Melbourne this season. Ho wiU\get a retainer of £600 per annum. This was the sum paid to the late W. H. Smith, who,was killed in a smash at Kosohill last winter.
