MEN OF THE "COAST"
- 0 ANNUAL MEETING WEST COAST . ASSOCIATION. ' The annual meeting of the ' West. Coasters' Association was held in the Hotel Cecil last night. The annual'report and balance-sheet (adopted) stated that the receipts for the year amounted to £164 los. 6d., and the payments to £153 7s. 4d. The report referred to the severe loss the association had sustained through the death of three most popular and energetic members, in tho persons of Captain Bonner, George Barford, and William Gilbertson. The question of holding the annual, social of the association was discussed, and in view of the present crisis the matter was left ill the hands of the finauce committee to report on at a future meeting. : , Motions of sympathy were moved expressing sympathy with Mr. Vinsen, father of Mrs. Kettle, of Greymoutli; Mrs. Cody and family in the death of Mr. Cody; and Mr. Q.: J. Pfaff, the secretary, whose father died recently. Tho election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr. F. M'PaTland; vice-presidents, Messrs. M. Kennedy, S. Gilmer, T. Y. Seddon, M. O'Connor, J. J. M'Grath, J. Dwyer, E. J. Fitzgibbon, JVC. Colvin, M.P., R. M'Kenzie,' P. Griffin, and R. Quinn; secretary, Mr. C. • J. Pfaff; treasurer, Mr. R. Quinn; finance committee, Messrs.
