After a leoture held at the Occult Club, in London, recently, upon psyohio experiences, a woman speaker referred to the strange behaviour of the ship's oat of the Empress of Ireland. When the vessel was about to leave Quebeo the cat came hurrying down the gangway, bearing two of her kittens in her mouth. Efforts were made to get her to return, but though she had up to that time made the vessel her regular home, even' when in -port, 'nothing would . porsuade her to go back, and she was allowed to take up her abode in a shed, and consequently escaped destruction on tho foundering of the vessel. Furthermore, according to the speaker,, the cat waß heard to emit a long-sustainec '. miaou rt- the very moment the shir ,1 sank. / ■ -
