Bennett, 1. The only competitors. Sacred solo for contraltos —Nan Gowilan, 1: Elizabeth . Smith, 2; Alnieidia L. Cokton. 3. Piano solo, 12 years and under 14 — Jean Wagner, 1; Evelyn Duke, 2; George Wilkinson, 3. Tenor solo, amateurs—James Simpson, 1; C. J. Hannah, 2; Herbert Prouse, 3. ( Vocal solo and accompaniment, eentlemen amateurs—Alfred Maitland (Auckland), 1; Oliver Firkin, 2. Oration— J. B. M'Connell and G. T. M'llroy, equal, 1; Miss Alice Austin, 3. . Boys' humorous recitation, 12 years and under Bowen, 1; James Duncan; 2; Ernest Ball, 3. Ladies' champion recitation—Ethel Churcliill, 1;. Elsie M'Peak, 2; Alic6 Austin, 3.
Dunedin, August 30. The Dunedin competitions were continued on Saturday. Results: — Piano Duet (under ■ 11)!—Eileen SewI ley and Garth It. Stoneham, 1; Winnio Geddes and Sybil H. Baker, 2; Alice Church and Edith Clark, 3. There were six otner competitors. Piano Solo (undor 10). —Erio Evrart, 1; Garth B. Stoneham/2; Sybil Baker, 3. Six other competitors. Child's Action Song (under 12).— May Brown, 1; ClJfi'e A. Vivian, 2; Sophia E. Vivian, 3. Six other competitors. : Song for boys under 18.—John W. Wright, of AVoolston, 1; Sidney H. Swift, 2; Olive A. Vivian, 3. Twelve other competitors. ■ ' Recitation (girls under 11).—Runa Cox, 1; E. Daly, Christchurcli, 3; CV. Smith, 3. Fifty-six other competitors. Humorous Recitation (givls, 12 and under).—Jlfoy Brown, 1; Sophia E. Vivian', 2'; Nellie, Osborne, 3. ' Twenty..fivo other competitors. All tie competitions in the physical exercise, four in number, were won by the Albany Street School team.
