A.Feilding Wedding. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Brigid's Church, Feilding, on August.2s, when Mr. John Began, eldest son of Mr. P. Began, a well-known farmer at Aorangi, was mairied to Miss Minnie Bennett, youngest daughter of Mrs. M. Bennett, of -Kauwhata, near Palmerston North. The bride wore white satin, with a veil and wreath, of orange blossoms, and was attended by Miss Nancy Sanson and Miss J. Henderson. Mr. Gordon Bennett, a brother of the- bridegroom, acted as best man. flio Rev. Father O'Dwyer conducted the iservico. 4* tno conclusion of the ceremony about 180 guests ivero entertained in tho Drill Hall, whero many toasts and good wishes were expressed for tho future welfare of Mr and Mrs. J. Regan. Subsequently the bride and bridegroom left for Napier, where the honeymoon irill be spent. The bride's going-away costume was of violet cloth] with.hat to match. Oriental Club Danoe= The annual dance of the Oriental Football Club was held in the Sydney Street Schoolrom last evening, and was most successful, both in point of view of numbers and of general arrangements. The decorations were carried out in patriotic colours, streamers of red, white, and blue being carried from the central gasolier to the side 3 of tho room and flags everywhere draping the walls and tho doorways. Tho hilyer trophies which had been presented for competi-' tion, and) the photographs of past champion teams of tho club ocoupied a central place on tho platform, and we're backed by a stand covered with lycopo- ' drum and studded with small flags. The chaperones were Mrs. Nimino, who was ' wearing grey channouso; Mrs. Wylio, ' m eaxo blue satin; and. Mrs. Kinvig, • in black eatin. Forming tho committeo ' jvere Airs. Hempton, who was in white I !ace. with a blue belt; Nurso .Everitt, ' 'black charmense, with 'corsage inlet with white lace, which also draped tho ' skirt; Mjss Philp, black charmouse, with ( corsage of cream lace and net; Miss. !
