THE COMING ELECTION.
AGITATION.FOR POSTPONEMENT. • The New Zealand Moderate League is I inviting all other organisations to assist in the promoting of the public petition praying that the elections be postponed. Letters have'been sent'to-the various secretaries, pointing out that the executive' of this league "considers that this matter should, be approached purely from a non-party viewpoint, and solicits the assistance of all known political and semi-political organisations in order to make tho petition as representative as'possible." The-following organisations have been communicated with: —Now Zealand Political Reform League, Women's Political Reform League, Liberal and Labour Federation, of New Zealand, Women's Social and Political League, United Federation of Labour, -"United Labour Party,, New Zealand Social Democratic Party,. Now Zealand Socialist Party, Now Zoaland Alliance, Licensed-Victuallers' Association, Bible-in-Schools Leaguo, National Schools' Defence League. Tho Dominion secretary of tho leaguo, Mr.', R. A. Armstrong, asks that any organisation which by ovei sight might not be included among thoso communicated with will accept this as an open invitation te assist.
