CRAYFISH TURNED TO COLD.

A PATRIOTIC SALE. The thirty-five sacks of crayfish sent by the Kaikoura fishermen were , sold yesterday morning, and realised a total, of £42 145., which amount is to be a contribution to the War 'Fund. No expenses were charged, the Kaikoura Wharf, Levin and C 0.,. agents s.s. Wakatu, Wellington Harbour Board, and Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., I rebating all charges. The following is ' how the crayfish was sold:—

AUCKLAND'S TOTAL £38,204. (By Telegraph.—Press; Association.) Auckland, August 26. The total subscribed to the Aucklimd Citizens' Patriotic Fund is now £38,204, and subscriptions continue to come to had-from all parts of the province.
