The BRttlo of Froeschiveiler was fought on August 6, 1870. The Germans endeavoured unsuccessfully to storm the height of Froeschiveiler, the headquarters of MacMahon, throughout tho day, but carried it at 5-p.m. by a simultaneous attack on all sides.
