The "Daily News" correspondent,at Rotterdam reports that the position of Liege is critical. Shots were fired at troops'from a, house on Thursday, whereupon the Germans; bombarded twenty houses, killing many inhabitant's. . Similar shots at Tongres resulted in the destruction of the town. The movement of the Germans westward across the ' Meuse beyond the range of the Naraur forte is being continued. The Minister of the Interior states that a great battle in Belgium began on Saturday.
