ON CERTAIN EXPORTS.

As already announced, arrangements nave been made, subject to the approval or the Imperial authorities, to permit tho exportation from Australia to New jtouand of fuel oils and lubricating oils. The Hon.' F. M. B. Fisher informed a reporter yesterday that it had also been decried to allow normal eupplies of food stufts, fuel oils, and lubricating oils to be exported from 'New Zealand to British and French possessions in the South Pacific Brother Lawrence Waters, of the ■Redomptorist Order, died at the St. uerard Monastery on Thursday, after a somewhat prolonged illness, at the age i P 5/^ 18 - Brother Waters was the lost of the first group of Redemptorists who came to Australia thirty-two years ago. The original party consisted or four priests and two lay brothers, who first of all established themselves at Singleton, in New South Wales, and a little later changed their centre to Waratah, where the first monastery of tho Order in Australasia was erected. With tho exception of one priest who returned to Ireland some years ago, all have since died. • The deceased was a native of County Monaghan, Ireland. He has no relatives in Australasia, but has a brother who is a lay brother of the Order in Liverpool.' For some years- past Brother Waters had suffered from a wenk heart, and .during an attack sustained a fortnight ago, pneumonia supervened, and death sued.
