CREWS FOR THE TROOPSHIPS. Yesterday all tho men on tho Tahiti who signed off the vessel on Thursday signed on again under now articles and under 'Admiralty conditions. As Mr. VV. T. Young (secretary of the Seamen's Union) explains, the Tahiti men have signed articles drawn up in accordance with the New Zealand agreement, .which agreement gives them slightly better conditions than the Commonwealth agreement under wlijch thoy worked heretofore. The Tahiti is at present being converted into a troopship, and tho crews of the various other transports will, it "is understood, .follow the example of the Tahiti men in duo course. According to Mr. Young, tWore is an abundance of men offering for service on troopships'at present, so much so that there is a scracity of men to fill the resultant. vacancies on tho coastal and ferry boats.
