I HEREBY invite Citizens of Wellington and of the Province to help - in making adequate Provision for the Dependents of those who have left, and ar<» about to leave, our Vhores, to uphold the honour of our flag. A Citizens' Committee will be responsible for the relief of distress, and every care will be exercised to avoid overlapping, and to see that funds will be wisely and fairly administered. The same Committee also has the question of unemployment under consideration. In this connection I would'respectfully appeal to : all citizens who are contemplating any improvements of their properties to put such improvements in hand, and then provide work for the people. In order to organise the sources of employment that may be available, I should deem it a favour if tho citizens will oommunicate with me as to the nature and extent of the work.
