Richardson) to the Tramways Committee yesterday, shows a slight increase over the figures for the corresponding month of last year; This increase is, however, more than accounted for in tho increase in; working expenses; Tho figures (1013 conidarisons in paren r thesis) "are 'as follow":—Revenue, ,£7295 '.£7270); working expenses, £2500 (£2410); capital charges, £1535 (£1473); credit balance, £3260 (£3387); units sold, 394,373. (351,1542); new connections, 130 (113). The'figures for the four months ended July 31, with those for the corresponding period of lost.year, (in parenthesis), are as follow:—Eeveuue, £25,319 (£25,507); working expenses, £9413 (£9040); capital charges,' £6141 (£5891); credit balance, £9705 (£10,570); units sold, -1,314,311 ;i,193,145); new connections, 528 (409); total connections at July 31, 1914, 9540 (8347). ■ ' \ ■
