' Owing to the large number of Rugby players who have volunteered for the Expeditionary Force, championship matches have been declared closed in all grades, 'and as several of the well-known players are not now available for the representative team, the union has decided to play i representative trial match at the Athletic Park this afternoon, and two very good teams are opposed to each other, although many of the players are new to . big football here. The proceeds are being : devoted-to the War Fund, and; apart from a good game being anticipated, patriotic followers of the game will no doubt support' tho union, so that a substantial amount may be available as a result of : the game. .
