Trederick Harry Hodge met with aii?accident, and | as a result had to have his left arm am- : putatcd.. >While in' the hospital he contracted typlioid fever and died on March 24. The Court .reserved decision in the matter of exempting gas companies from ,th.e: provisions of the northern plumbers' and: gasfitters' award. In the case of the Petone Woollen Mills dispute, adjourned from last week, the Court- decided to make the recommendations of the Conciliation Council into 'an award;,.to take effect from the same date as-tho awards in Christchuroh and Duriedin.'' The industry will thus bo governed by a Dominion award.
