THE ORIGIN OF LIFE
SIR EDWARD SCHAFER INTER. VIEWED.By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 10, 11.10 p.m.) Adelaide, August 10. Sir Edward Schafer, who. is en route to attend the Science Congress, was interviewed., here on the origin of life. Ho denies lie ever said that life could be created by chemical means. The chief re- ■ suit"-of his investigations had been the acquirement of the knowledge of what life is. It has been made dear that life consists simply of 'chemical and physical processes, and.in that case these must ultimately yield to research. It may not be now, nor ten, nor a hundred years hence, but it must come. At least that is what he has come to believe.
