The .organisation of the Boy Sflouta has already been made considerable use of in several directions by tlie •• Defence authorities. . Parents and headmasters of schools are asked by' the Boy 'Scout authorities to permit the' services of lads belonging to Scout ranks to bo given. Scoutmasters are asked to give prominence to first aidi signalling, and pathfinding work. : Sdouts should immediately 6trivo to make themselves proficient, in these subjecta. Scouts free for-service should report to tho Scout Boom, Drill Hall, Buckle Street.' The St. John Ambulance have been offered the services tof St. Thomas and St. Paul troops.' The services of old scoutmasters an<l_ gentlemen who have had experience with similar work will be welcomed; especially is this bo in provincial towns. They should proceed ■■' to tho formation of patrols and troops on the lines laid down in the text book, "Scouting for Boys,'" purchasable from booksellers,' and then report *0 E. S.
