LE PALAIS DU DANSE
TANGO HALL FOR WELLINGTON. Mr. W. J. Donnelly and others have secured from the Publio Trustee, a lease of the Vivian Street Skating Rink, which they propose to oomert into a publio dance hall on the lines of the Palais du Danse in Melbourne, and the Salon de Lnxo in Sydney. These places, which are very well equipped and properly conduct, oi have been enormous successes for the past six months, and are recognised as the rightful home cf the tango, hesitation, waltz, one-step, and ragtime dances, which are at present the rage all. over the civilised' world. Mr. Donnelly is having the rink completely redecorated on a scale of floral magnificence never yet seen in Wellington, and has engaged the services of Mr Henry White (the well-known theatre architect) to plan ttie alterations. . The modus operandi has not yet been decided upon, but Mr. Donnellr hopes to be in a position to offer the public an.afc traction altogether novel at o..very reasonable price. The Palais du Danse-thf Skating Rink's new cognomen-will prob. ably o?en its doors to the publio toward! the end o! the present month.
