CONCILIATION AGREEMENTS RATIFIED. ' ' The Court of Arbitration met yesterday, when Mr. Justice Stringer presided. The assessors were: Messrs. W. Scott (for the employers) and J. A. M'Cullough (for the employees). Mercer, to be followed by Jardine v. LmonX Company. Monday: Evans v. Shaw,. Savill, .and .Albion Co.; Hodge v. Alton Dairy "Co. Tuesday: Public Trustee v. Wellington Farmers' Meat Co. HOTEL WORKERS. ' In the casa of the hotel workers' dispute, and the application of the union to extend tho .provisions of the award, to clubs, Mr.. E. J, Carey asked the Court to give a ruling as to whether a pr?vious decision..of the Court was against them. It .had been said that Mr. Justice Sim had decided against such an application being granted, but there was no record of.the decision in the Books of Awards. If there was no decision against them he felt confident they would be able to arrive at agreements. ' His. Honour promised' to' look into' the matter; AGREEMENTS f RATIFIED. In several disputes, it was reported that agreements had been reached, and in these cases awards were made. They we*-as follow:—Theatrical employees;. Wellington pullers; farriers and macksmiths; brewery employees. The Pctone Woollen Mills dispute is to be mentioned again on Monday neit. Mr. E. Kennedy, for tho union, said an agreement had been reached, and was working since August .1, but Mr.'W. A. W. Gronfell'said he had no, instructions to agree to the recommendations forwarded to tho, Court. ■ ' ' 1 In the Palmcrston North and Mastcrton carpenters' dispute, the Court reserved decision on some minor points' raised by •the employers.
