Mr, John Prouse.-of Wellington, has been engaged by the Auckland Choral Society to sing tho baritone role in Gounod's oratorio, "The Redemption," to bo performed on Tuesday, August 18. v Mr. B. T. Culford Bell leaves this morning for Paliiatua to judge the elocutionary sections of the competitions' there.
