—o . FIRST LADIES' TOURNAMENT. The first ladies' tournament in New Zealand will commence this evening in tlm showrooms of Alcock and Co., Ltd., Baker's Buildings, the games being as follow: —At 7.15 p.m.: Miss Grabliam (owes 40) v. Mrs. Ported (scr.), Mrs. Nagle (owes 30) v. Mrs. Goldio free. 50). At 8.30 p.m.: Miss Cunlilfo (rec. <10) v. Mrs. Player (rec. 20), Mrs. Tucker (re:. CO) v. Mrs. Ccrutty (fccr.). Admission is by ticket only, and no gentleman will be admitted without a lady. Tlio tournament will run every evening during tlio week. The final game will bo played on Friday next.
