Ward, Sir Robert Stout,-itfie Mayor (Mr.; J. P. Luke), the Hons. F. M. B. Fisher, C. H. Mills, and-Mr. F. 'W. Lang, and a number of members of Parliament and heads.'of Government Departments.-' His Excellency was received by. the officers of'the club at ; a quarter past 8, and' later the' chairman in a l snort speech esteuded a welcome to 1 !' the guest of the evening on behalf of the, members of the club. - This was his Excellency's first visit to Ihe dub this year, and the speaker trusted it'would not be the last. ■ - '
