(Wellington .to London), should tJewlthiii. vHMess''rai)ge this evening. ' - ," ' ; Acoording to a wireless mcesago received from .the captain of B.M.S. Euapehu, the vesol is. expected to arrive at .Wellington from London, via way ports, at noon tomorrow.' When discharge of the Wellington portion if the Euopehu's cargo has been completed, she will go on to Lyttelton to put out the remainder, Loading operations will then be commenced on behalf of tho F. and S. tana at the southern port. Subsequently 'the Euapehu will visit Timaru, Port Chalmers, the Bluff, Napier, end Wellington for the same purpose. She is due here on August 25, and will bo dispatched for Avonmouth on August 27. ' KAUEI in book]' The Union Company's stoamcr Kauri wee docked at Port Chalmers on Tuesday, when tho nature and extent of her injuries were made plain to the observer. As the result of her recent stranding at We6tport, tho damage sustained by her hull appears to hkvo been confined to the starboard side, from «her forepeak to about. amidships, tinder the forepeak could be seen tWo large patches about 4ft. square, which had been bolted on whilst the reeeel lay on the beach at Westport, and a large plug under her bilge amidships shows that a big leak had been stopped with a considerable amount of skill under-very difficult conditions. In all, about half a dozen punctures could be seen, whilst a dozen or so of bulged plates 6howed that some of her frames must have been buckled under her ballast tanks. Her starboard bilge keel is oi'umpled up from end to end, and as she has about six tons of cement over the injured portions inside her holds, it is evident that the work of repairing the Kauri will occupy 6ome time.
