ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
A clergyman may perform a marriage in the hriuso. if he is registered as an officiating minister under tlie Marriage Act. Anglican nor Roman Catholic Churches approve of marriage in tho house, other thaii under extraordinary circumstances. In a citjr an' Anglican clergyman is not permitted to'performi the marriage ceremony within 1 the • house ■within a . radius of six miles of his parish without the special sanction of the Bishop of the diocese. In' the country, where distances ,are great and' churches few, allowances are made. The Roman Catholics disapof marriage in the house, and the circumstances have to be exceptional when, that is permitted.
