'At a meeting .of the Otaki No-License Council, held at Shannon this afternoon, tho following resolution was carried unanimously:— - i "That this large and representative meeting, while recognising that there may bo completely satisfactory reasons for t'he absence of Mr. Robertson, M.P., from tho division list that killed tho Licensing Bill, in view of the tremendous issues at stake in the successful passage of the Bill, and,in view especially of tho robbing of the people of their just and democratic right to decide the issue on a reduced- handicap, this mooting regrets Mr, Robert-son's absenco from the division, and requests bim to explain his failure to record his vote."
