Aubrey Herbert, in a letter to the "Times," quotes an eje-witness whe i saw a hundred Greek officers exterminating villagers in Southern Albania. A hundred thousand refugees arccrowding into Valoua from Berat and Korutia; the streets are full of -naked , : bodies of women, each with -the mark of strangulation. Littlo babes have been hacked to pieces with knives. The- Greeks burnt a whole countryside to cover trace of their atrocities. The Albanians are killing their, wive? • _ and.children, to prevent them falling , info the hands of the Greeks.
