—9 . 7 REFORM ORGANISING CAMPAIGN. . The organiser of the Reform Party (Mr. A. A. Paape) commenced the work of organisation in the Otaki electorate oh Monday; In the afternoon a meeting was held at Paraparaumu in Wise's. 'Hall. There was a fair attendance.' Mr. R. R. Harris occupied the chair. The organiser' briefly addressed'the meeting, after which it was unanimously resolved •to form a branch-of.,tho New Zealand political Reform League. The following officers were elected:—President, Sir. R. R. Harris; vice-president, Mr. It. M'Leau; secretary, Mr. F. Cordukes; committee, Messrs. M. Dodds, G. Hillis, J. L. Howell, and S. B. Porrett, with power to add to their number. .. On Monday evening there was an attendance of, some sixty electors in, the Paekakariki Hall. "Mr. C. Tatum' was voted,to the chair, and briefly emphasised the necessity of establishing a branch of the Reform League in'tho township. Tho .organiser (Mr. Paape) addressed the' meeting'at length, and ga7e an.exhaustive resump of the work of tho Reform Government since their advent to ;tho Treasury Benches, and' generally of the necessity for organisation. At-tho' conclusion of'the, address tho organiser received tho thanks of tho .meeting'for his lucid remarks. It was decided to form "a : branch qf the league, and tho following officers wore elected Mr. A. I. Mack'ay; vice-president, Mr. F. _R. Holtom; secretary,' Mr.' J. Smith; committee, Messrs. Leu Smith, Foster, 'W. W. Smith,'T.F. Thompson, and o..Slight. Last evening the organiser was' due' at AVaikanao, and to-day meetings aro to be held at ToHoro and Otaki. • . . •
