A well-known Widiies Catholic priest was visiting'a friend in London.- Arriving late in the.evening a gentleman ushered him into,the library, where he became ehgrossod in books. Suddenly the police appeared, arrested' -~im, and took him. to the nearest police station, where he ,was charged with' burglary. After four ..hours' detention he was released with apologies. . . The house .had previously been -entered by burglara and the police, seeing the priest enter, concluded 'he was a burglar. As'a matter of fact, the man who ushered him into the library was the burglar, who escaped. , !
