At a meeting of' the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, tho Management Committee announced that they had deoided to retire from office, and' would not seek re-election at the next annual meeting of the council. The secretary and treasurer also announced that tbov were resigning.. A motion was proposed that no action of the delegates in the past could bo construed to be in the nature of want' of confidence in the -Manaeement Committee, and that tlie committee be requested to rcionsicW the question of resignation -in a body. Tho motion, was ruled out of order, and the intention- of . the' committee and officers'to resign therefore stands.
