Gunn (Timaru) on points. ■ Final: Harrhy beat Venus on points after a capital contest. > Feather-weiglits. J. W. Oliver. (Wellington) beat J. Newsome, (Taumarunui) oh points. A. Goodman beat Bennetts (Auckland) on points. In the final, Goodman beat Oliver on points in a splendidly contested boiit. '-.. , Light-weights. J. Mussen (Greymouth) beat G. Thomas (Wanganui) on points. James (Auckland) Knocked out Stewart (Timavu) in tlie second round.' Final: James beat Mussen on points. Mussen lost the use of his right arm at the commencement .of the last round and James won easily on. points. Welter-weight. L'. Wills (Taranaki) beat • Kelland (Taumarunui) on points. Heeney (Gisborne) beat Hunter (Wellington) by'a knock-out in the first round. Final: Heeney beat Wills on points, by a narrow margin, after.'n splendid bout. , Middle-weight. j A. Wood (Invercargill) beat W. Dick- : son (Taumarunui) on points. P. Manning (Christehurch) beat E. Tyson (Otago) on points. Final: Wood beat Manning (Christchurch). The Boxing Conference met this morning to consider reports from sub-com-mittees It adopted the report referring the matter of the legislative recognition of the controlling body back to the council, and asked for a mail vote and the matter to be pushed ahead this session, j

The conference also adopted extra rules aiming aftlio registration and control of boxers, trainers, and instructors.
