When, the policoioame to' arrest Ryan he jumped Out of bed jjnd; seized an automatic pistol. She advised him not to shoot, as it would only make things worse, and lie ■made no attempt to shoot. COMMITTED-- FOR TRIAL. (Rec. July 23, 8 p.m.) Sydnoy, July 23. The evidence for the prosecution has concluded. ■ ■ Counsel for the accused submitted that there ivas no case against either, of them/the Crown ]ia>ing' resorted 'to presumptive' circumstantial '' evidence. AVith regard to Ryan, the prosecution failed to supply direct evidence of idcn.tificatioii, and- contended; that Kelly's Story., ought to ..be . viewed with.' caution, even'if she, wqre the', most reputable .woman in the world.
