At the Farmers' Conference; tlio Chief Commissioner of Railways presented figures showing that railway revenue since 1893 had increased by 164 per cent., and the mileage run by 174 per cent. There were proportionate increases in the rolling stock and tlio quantity of tlio traffic carried. •
