The Hindus took the refusal quietly, and will sail early in tho morning.
THE KOMAG ATA MARU AFFAIR. . Vancouver, July . 22. J.iio. Ilomagata Maru is now getting steam up. Her departure has been delayed pending the loading of provisions and medicines given the Hindus through the Ottawa Government's generosity.
The cruiser Benbow will convoy the Komagata Maru out a considerable 'distance in the Pacific.
No word has been heard of the second Hindu ship that was reported to be coming from India. Whether : slio has returned or is lurking along the coast is not known. '
After remaining obdurate for several days, the Hindus aboard the Komagata Maru yielded to the entreaties of the Hmdus resident in Vancouver,- andagreed to return peacefully to the East.
