Armidale, O'Brien, tho New Zealand full-back, had a leg broken while tackling. Ho'was sent to hospital. At half-time tho score was: New Zealand, 8; No,v England, 6. The visitors played brilliantly in the second half, and prevented the local men from further scoring. The Now Zealanders weie tendered-a civic' reception at tho Town 1 Rjtll. Later, advices are to the' effect that only a small bone in O'Brien's leg was "broken;' 'It is expected ho will be incapacitated for about a fortnight. O'Brien is returning to Sydne.y for treatment, and there is » possibility, that ho will be able to play in the Sydney matches. • Mr. Hollis. secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union, yesterday received a cable message from Mr. R. Isaacs, manager of the New Zealand team in Australia, confirming the news of the accident to O'Brien in tho-match at Annidale'. __________ '
