Association, at Tuesday's meeting revealed his solierae to raise tho membership to 3000. Ho proposes to issue a circular inaugurating a champion membership competition, tho committee giving prizes to those getting first, second, and third largest number of new £1 paid members. Tho competition will bear tho complexion of the Queen of Carnival competition, by the provision that members shall nominate candidates for tho championship and tlion secure in tlwir names all new members possible. Contests will close on Friday, November 6. Tho dato of closing nominations has not yet been fixed. The proceeds will be used in improving tho grounds, the presidont declaring that the cattle pens are 20 years obsolete.
