TEACHERS' VIEWS. (Br Telezra-Dh.'-Prera Aseccl&tion.i i Auckland, July 22. . In a report upon the question of tho home work set- for children attending the primary schools in the Auckland district, Mr. Mulgan, chief inspector in the "district, states that the amount of liome work sot is,, in the majority of schools, the reverse of excessive. In schools staffed'by inexperienced teachers, the setting of an undue amount of homo work sometimes obtains. In tho roport submittod by tho Teachers' Institute, tho teachers state that the present 6ystem of- setting home work is eminently satisfactory, and should not bp interfered with, ■' ■.
