'The "Novoe Vremya," in an article depicting the fate of emigrants in the gloomiest colours, states that the twenty thousand Russians in Austnia form the lowest class of workers, and are regarded as an inferior race, oven as savages. >They euffei- privation and misery. Russian labour naa replaced coloured labour on the sugar plantations and in the' Tasmanian ,tin mines. These unfortunates are struggling against want, and dreaming of a return to Russia. The "Novoe VremyaV suggests the warning of intending emigrants and the assisting of unfortunates who have fallen into ..the trap.
