THE NEW DISTRICTS. (By Telesranh.— Association.) ' - : Blenheim, July 21. A preliminary protest .was mado all tlie Education Board to-day against tlie proposal to merge Marlborough with Nelson, and strong feeling was expressed \ on the point. 'It was recalled that - Marlborough was a milch cow for Nelson in pre-abolition times. At a' meeting of >tho Dunedin Head Teachers' Association to-night,-tho following to bo fonvarded to the Minister of Education, was unanimously passed:— "That this association congratulates tbo Minister.of Education on the liberal staffing and generous provision in matter of salaries provided for in the Education Bill, and especially on .the provision that subject l to transfer no teacher shall suffer reduction in salary owing to falling attendance." . ! .
