Revenue £.18,024 £18,237 Working expenses £6,913 . £6,630 Capital charges ... £4,606 £4,419 Credit balance £6,505 £7,188 Units sold 919,938 541,503 Now connections made 39S 357 Total connections at June 30,1914 . 9,436 8,248 From the foregoing figures it will be noticed that the amount of revenue is over £200 loss than for the corresponding period of last year, though the number of units sold is in excess. The explanation lies in the fact that a reduction in the cast of current was made during the latter part of last year, which naturally' had an effect on the revenue. The encouraging eign is the steadily increasing amount of current that is being used in Wellington. The Mercer Street powerhouse was working nearly up to capacity in June last, but the load will now show a lightening tendency, and with the new Parsons turbine ready next month there will be a fine margin of power for expansion.
