Tho petition of John Hissey : for' a divorce from his-wife was dismissed, tho jury finding that neither had committed adultery. ■• John. Hissey, a barrister,, suedfor a divoros from his, wife, Queenie Mersill, nn actress. Albert Whelan, an Australian music-hall artist, Iwaß joined as to-, respondent. Hissey, in Ms evidence, stated that he ran through a fortune of £30,000. His .wife then claimed- the right to frequent night clubs with other men, and one day threw herself on the floor and confessed to misconduct with -Whelan at the ; Grand Hotel; Birmingham. ■
