OTANE ANGLICAN CHURCH

*l/he . first annua] meeting of " the parishioners in the newly-formed parochial district of Otane was-held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, when some 150 people were present. The vicar (Rev. G. The vicar then nominated Mr. Wm. T. Williams' as his church officer, and tho people Mr. Geo. Clark as theirs. The following were elected as the committee, Messrs. \V. Fletcher, J. Langridge, A. Clark, ,AV. Megson, W. Clifford, ,S. Ludbrook, H. Hale. H. Ha.ycock, D. Williams, and A. Dillon. Mr. G. Cold-\ liam Williams was elected synodsman. A pleagant social evening was spent, and' items of interest were contributed From a gramophone, and also by Mrs. Cleary, Miss Clark, Mr. Ingletbn, Mr . ■ liihtz, and Mr. R. Dilton, and Miss Pollard.. A. general country: fair and bazaar is to be held in January or February, to help to clear off the debt ,on the parish, and great promises of stock and fancy work, 'etc., have been made. ■ _____——
