AMBULANCE TARIFF REVISED. A meeting of the general committee of tho St. John Ambulance Association ■was held at Panama Street on Thursday afternoon. The following names were nominated for confirmation at the annual general meeting to fill vacancies through' resignations and retirements in the.ordinary course: Mrs. Barltrop (re-elected), Mrs. Moorhouse, Miss Robieson, Colonel Will, and Mr A. H. Turnbull. On the motion of Mrs. Luke it'was resolved to take steps to causo the financial year, to be closed simultaneously for'all branches of the centre, including the association, brigade, and .guild, on September 30 in each year. The tariff for use of the ambulance vehicles was revised, as follows: The day charge (between 7 a.m. and 6 pi.ni.) is reduced, commencing July 17, to 10s. an hour for either the brougham or van, arid 2s. 6d. for each'succeeding quarter hour. • For less than half an hour 75. ; 6d., will be charged. The night charges are unchanged. It was reported that the medallions and labels had come to hand ready for distribution by His Excellency the Governor on July 24The annual meeting on that date promises to be an unusually important and attractive gathering. Particulars will bo advertised on Tuesday.
