ADMISSION OF HINDUS

Tho House of Representatives Committee- on Immigration considered the matter of legislation affecting tho admission of Hindus, Mr. Burnett, one of the members, appealed to the 'Committee ■ not 'to raise the Japanese exclusion question at the present time. Ho urged the exclusion of Hindus alone, as Chinese were already kept out. Mr. Church, another member, supported his own Bill, designed as a compromise intended to meet the western opposition to the influx of Asiatics.
