Owing to the Amalgamated Engineers' Scciety rejecting a proposal for a levy for political purposes the fund .will not be available for next election._ The society declines, to assume responsibility for Mr. Duncan's (Barrow-in-Furness) election costs, and has deferred its decision with regard to Mr. Barnes (Blackfriars Division of Glasgow).
