MYSTERIOUS STOMACH TROUBLES.
PRINCIPAL' CATJS3? REVEALED. A great'deal of mystery is made about stomach -troubles, and many people go ;in constant dread of life-long incapacity, or tlie horrors of the operating table just because they experience pain in the region of the stomach for which they cannot account. Instead of looking for the cau'o of the trouble, they seem only too ready to describe themselves as "mar' tyrs to indigestion" or "chronic dyspeptics." Excessive acidity is said to be tho direct cause of more than 90 per cent, of all stomach troubles," and, according to many eminent physicians, tho occasional use of a reliable antacid, such as half-a-tcaspoonful of pure bisurated magnesia in a little water after meals,, will do more towards righting stomach derangements than all the patent foods and medicines ever invented, becauso this gets at the root of the trouble—stops fermentation of the food contents, and neutralises tho acids which otherwise would irritate and inflame tho stomach. ~HiGGrasoN~* ■■ macshaneT Bharobrokers and Accountants, IWFfIATEBSSXON ST„ WEILINGTON,
