THE SHEEP FLOCKS
BIG INCREASE-HECORD EXPORTS. The usual interim return of sheep in the Dominion on April 30, 1914, was presented to the Houso of Representatives yesterday., . The total number is "1,595,406", which represents a net inoreaso for tho Dominion of 403,595. In the North Island there has been a decieaso of 175,314, and in tho South Island an increase of 578,909. Tho. 'decreasesnro in Wellington (244,401) and Napier-Gisborne (65,675), and tho increases in Auckland (134,762), Mnrl-borough-Nelson-Westland (2029), Can-torbury-Kaikoura (319,122), and Otago (257.758). And although tho number cf tho' sheep in; the Dominion's flocks shows an ihcrjaso of over 4000, the export of frozen meat, for the season was a record.
