Over 1000 special lantern slides have' been prepared," 'illustrating' the town-plannmg achievements of Groat Britain, with.its remarkable development.in garden cities, of Germany and Franco with then wealth of beautiful garden's, tree-lined boulevardes, and public buildings; also of America, where ornamental parkways encircling city outskirts, children's play, grounds, and'domestie architecture havo made such headway in recent jears. An opportunity of hearing and learning the most useful methods in townplanning that can best apply to New Zealand conditions will be given to tho xesidents of 'Wellington to-morrow evenfog, at 8 o'clock, in the Town Hall, when Mr. Davidge and Mr. Reade will give a special illustrated discourse, entitled "Town-Planning for New Zealand:'' Mr. Davidge is by profession an engineer, architect, and surveyor, and 'may be regarded as a leading authority . from the heart of the largest city of the world.
