Chapman and James, J.P.'s, a female inebriate was convicted and discharged,, and--on a 'charge of vagrancy Frank Gully was similarly . dealt with. l At the Upper Hutt Court, before Mr. D. 6. A. Cooper, S.M., on Wednesday, an' employed of ' the Maymorn ■Estate's Syndicate named' Albert Edwin Hall, on a charge of assaulting , and threatening'with a revolver John Henry Leonard, assistant manager of the company, was fiiied 10s., with costs. /Tlioalternative was fixed at three 'days iii gadEor allowing stock to wander,- Alfred Southey and Arthur Seed (manager of the Maymorn Estate's Syndicate) were each fined 10s-., with costs 14s: 6d.' On a similar charge G. B. Styles was convicted and discharged.' In the civil case G. [Astridge v. Malcolm M'Donald, a claim for 12s. lid., judgment was given for plaintiff by default. ' - '
