OUTBREAE ;ON LAMBTON QUAY.
At about ten o'clock last evening the Fire Brigade; received a'call.to a fire: in. the Westminster Chambers, ,'m the Commercial Assurance Building, Lambton' Quay. The brigade at first, owing to tho density of the smoke in: the building, had some difficulty iiv locating the scat of the outbreak, but it was subsequently found to bo in a small room occupied by.Mr. B. C. \Varnes, an American' patent medical instrument-agent. The chemical 'fire extinguishers-:were got to, work, and hi a very short time the fire, which was confined to: tho stock, held by.■Mγ. Warne9J was extinguished.
