Hereawa ; 5 Pakeha 1 Ramblers A V.. 3 Hui Mai 2 Petone .......... 11 Ramblers 0 The third series of matches in the second round of the competitions, under the: management of the Wednesday Hoekey Association, was played yesterday afternoon in good weather. All the grounds' were' in splendid: condition. Hie game between Petonc and Ramblers B took place on the suburban ground, and resulted in an easy win for Petone. Rl'Uroue, Kamblers' goalkeeper, had bad.luck, as .in'four of the goals scored the ball glanced off his pads. In .the 1 game Hereawa-Pakeha (the; latter play. ing- nine men), the former won after, a good contest.-', Ramblors A. defeated Hui Mai after a well-contested game., lIEREAWA V. PAKEHA. Hereawa broke away from the "bullyoff," but- the rush was stopped by'Paget at full-back, aiid Pakeha forwards then bustled play over- Hercawa's twenty-', tiye line. Pullen, with a hard drive, transferred, play into Pakeha's - circle, but offside play relieved the pressure for a few'minutes. . ' Hereawa kept up the. attack, only to loso the advantage by-off-side'"play. Pakeha,'s full-backs,' Paget and Lippett, played a great fiamo,' saving tiino: after,.time.
